In last week’s newsletter we revealed the name of our school, Heavenly King Orthodox Academy, and since then we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback about our choice. It wasn’t our choice at all, though, really. This whole process has been guided, at times in whispers and at times in shouts, by the Holy Spirit. We pray that our Heavenly King will continue to guide and shelter us as we move forward in faith.
By God’s grace, we are well on our way to our goal of opening in Fall of 2022 and are currently accepting applications for teaching positions! We plan to have a few paid positions, supplemented by volunteers who would be willing to step in as teaching assistants or as substitute teachers if the need arises. We are looking for faithful, enthusiastic, and capable individuals who foster a joy of learning in their students. Our blended-grade class sizes will be small with an integrated faith-based approach to the Manitoba curriculum. The opportunity to teach to the whole child in an academically rich and nurturing Orthodox Christian environment will be a special and joy-filled experience!

We are collecting applications for full/part-time teacher, educational assistant and administrator positions for the 2022-2023 school year. To apply, please send a letter of interest, a resume, 2 letters of recommendation and a pastoral reference letter to admin@heavenlykingacademy.ca by December 15, 2021.
Following that, potential candidates will be called and interviewed by the end of January. Final staffing decisions will be made in March/April once student enrollment is confirmed.
